Week 15 Notes

STEVE PINE MEMORIAL GRIDIRON GUPPY CONTEST-WEEK 15 NOTES (2009)      2 WEEKS TO GO!!!!

3 did not select in Week 15-Antunesn, Danielthemaniel & Mickeypick’ems. They receive the favorite’s record (4-12).

Alitan & Antunesn have three non-selecting weeks. They aren’t eligible for the Last Place Prize or Super Bowl Grid Box but are eligible for Best Week prizes. The following 9 Guppies did not select the Thursday game in Week 15 and receive the visitor (0-1)(Indianapolis): Ace Reporter, Alitan, Big Daddy-Original, Blazedbill32, Boybe,          Joba Hedgecock, Robbiegrand, Ryry, Spread’em.

2) Mickey Pick’ems sent in his selections on Sunday via email due to computer problems.  An error was made and his selections were posted with 10 wins.  Since these selections could not be posted by the administrator prior to the 1 PM kickoff of the early games on Sunday, he receives the 4-12 record and a non-selecting week. His record  will be adjusted during the week.

3) 5 alive in KOTH III (AARP-Marcel, Freshmarc, KJ Squared, Madisonavcarz, TJR Levine). KOTH III concludes after Week 17 and does not carry into the playoffs.  If the Giants had not covered in Week 15, 17 of the 18 Guppies would have been eliminated.  Madisonavcarz has not selected a Best Bet the past 2 weeks and has received his Monday selection as his Best Bet.

4) Week 16 has a Friday game and the deadline is Friday at 8 PM to be eligible for the weekly prize. If you miss this deadline, you get the visitor in the Friday game and are ineligible for the weekly prize.  You will NOT be charged with a non-selecting week and will remain eligible for the monthly prize if you select the other 15 games by the Sunday Noon (Eastern) deadline.  Week 17 does not have a Sunday or Monday night game scheduled. We will use the Washington-San Diego game for the total point tiebreaker.

6) LAST PLACE RULE-You must select in Weeks 16 & 17 to “win” the $250 last place prize and can’t have more than two non-mailing weeks.  Last2First (Formerly Chill Tri-Athletes) is the three time Last Place defending champion.

7) The Super Bowl Grid Pro-Forma will be posted this weekend.  There will be 3 grids and at this time 217 eligible Guppies will receive at least 1 box.  The remaining 83 boxes will be filled by the Top 83 Guppies who did not win any prize money in any Pro contest during the entire season.

8 ) The Pro Playoff Contest will be activated and rules will be posted on the website during Week 17.  We will be using Office Pool to make selections.

9) A Merry Christmas to some of our Guppies and their families, a belated Happy Chanukah to some of our Guppies and their families and a Happy & Healthy New Year to all of our Guppies and their families!!!

College Bowl Update

Due to a miscalculation of the cost of the College Bowl Contest payable to Office Pool and the misallocation of two Guppies entries (Fredbird00 & Sore Plaxihole), we have revised the 2009-10 College Bowl prize money. There are 138 Guppies in the College Bowl contest.

1st-$600; 2nd-$300; 3rd-$150; 4th-$100; 5th-$60; Last-$30; Expenses-$140.

Week 14 Notes

DeBaise)-13 Wins (42 Pts) Close But No Cigar-13 Wins-Coopman (45 Pts); Let’s Get Weird (48 Pts); Brodies Crew (55 Pts) Antunesn, Dknick, Big Daddy-Original, Gvizier & Spread’em did not select in Week 14. They receive the visitors record (8-8) Ace of Wax, Arsimon, Alitan, Fastfred48, Gotta Jibboo, Monkey Trouble, Joba Hedgecock & Ryry did not select the Thursday game and receive Pittsburgh (Visitor) as their selection.  18 alive in KOTH III.    

2) LOOKING AHEAD-Week 15 has a Thursday & Saturday game and Week 16 has a Friday game.  If you do not select either the Thursday or Saturday games in Week 15 or don’t select the Friday game in Week 16, you will receive the visitor in the omitted games.  As long as you select the remaining Sunday & Monday games in Weeks 15 & 16, you will not be eligible for the Best Week prize but will remain eligible for the Best Month-December prize.  Of course, if you do not select at all, you receive the worst record of the Home, Visitor, Favorite or Underdog.

3) LOOKING AHEAD II-Week 17 has no Sunday night or Monday night game.  We will use a Sunday afternoon game (To Be Determined) in Week 17 as the Best Week tiebreaker.

5) If you signed up for our College Bowl Contest, the rules are posted on the website and lines are now posted on Office Pool.  The first game is Saturday December 19^th.
