Close But No Cigar-12 Wins-Schedulator (48 Pts).
Winner But No Cigar-Dartmouth Diamonds would have won the Best Week prize with 12 wins if they had actually chosen the loser (KC) in the Thursday night game. However, no selection was made and according to the rules, even though they tied for wins without a selection and was closest in points for the Monday night game, they receive the visitor in the Thursday game (KC), remain eligible for the Best Month prize because they selected the 14 remaining games but are ineligible to win the Best Week prize. So they end up with 12 wins in Week 12 but no Best Week prize.
The only time that you can win without making a selection is if you have the most wins while selecting all games played that week but do not select the total points tiebreaker.
Cypress Fats (3rd non-selecting week) did not send in his selections for Week 12 and receives the Visitor record (6-9). Cypress Fats is no longer eligible for a Super Bowl Box or the Last Place prize but can continue to select in the regular contest and KOTH III.

Best Month-November will be decided after the Sunday night game on November 30th game of Week 13. There are NO tiebreakers for the Best Month prize. November win total is the total wins in Weeks 9-13 not including the Thursday game in Week 9 (Played in October).
Any errors on prize awards for Weeks 9-13 as noted in the weekly notes must be disclosed to Guppy Management by December 6th. Prize money for November will be mailed on December 10th.
3) 89 are alive in KOTH III. If you forgot to select a Best Bet in Week 12 (there were 33 Guppies), you received your Monday selection as your Best Bet. Cypress Fats, who did not select in Week 12, receives the visitor as his Best Bet since he received the visitors in all of his selections

5) LOOKING AHEAD–Weeks 13-16 have Thursday games. Week 16 also has two Saturday games. If you miss selecting by the Thursday game deadline but select the remaining games by the Sunday at 1PM (Eastern) deadline, you get the visitor in the Thursday game (and Saturday game in Week 16), are ineligible for the weekly prize but remain eligible for the monthly prize and are not charged with a non-selecting week. Week 17 has no Monday game. We will use the Sunday evening game (To Be Decided) for the total points tiebreaker in Week 17.
6) Please select all 16 games, a Monday point total each week & and email your KOTH III Best Bet if alive. Don’t select a Best Bet if eliminated. Your Best Bet is to be selected and emailed to picks@gridguppy.com and carole@gridguppy.com so they are received by Sunday at Noon (Eastern). Please put your nickname in the email with your KOTH selection.

8) If you are signed up for our College Bowl Contest, we will use Office Pool for making selections. Those eligible for the contest will be posted on the website shortly. We expect 39 Bowl Games to be played. The first Bowl game is Saturday December 20th. We believe the first 38 games will be selected by December 20th and the championship game will be selected after January 1st to be played on January 12th.
9) Pro Playoff & College Bowl participants will be listed on a special website posting sometime in Week 14. If you believe there is an error, contact us at picks@gridguppy.com.
10) You must select all games and a point total with your Thursday selections but you can change your Sunday selections any time prior to Sunday at 1 PM (Eastern).
11) LAST PLACE RULE-You must select in Weeks 16 & 17 to “win” the $290 last place prize besides having no more than 2 non-selecting weeks in the season. Many of you are starting to think about going after the prize. It may be a little too early to start selecting losers, although it may seem like you have been doing it all season anyway.

Captain Jack (1st non-selecting week) & Cypress Fats (2nd non-selecting week) did not select in Week 11. They receive the Favorite record 6-8.
If anyone has 3 non-selecting weeks, they can’t receive a Super Bowl Grid box and be eligible for the Last Place prize. However, they can continue to select weekly, compete in KOTH III and remain eligible for any weekly, monthly or annual prizes except Last Place.

2) Week 13 is the last full week for the November monthly prize (Weeks 9-13 except the Thursday game in Week 9 & Monday game in Week 13).
You can check your total wins for the month thru Week 11 by going to Office Pool, hit Standings, then Part Season Standings and select Week 9 as Start Week and Week 11 as End Week but subtract the Thursday October 30 game from Week 9. The November monthly prize is Week 9 minus the Thursday October 30 game thru Week 13 minus the Monday December 1 game.
3) Thanksgiving Week-If you missed selecting the Thursday November 27th games, you get the visitors for any missed Thursday games (3 games on Thursday), you are ineligible for the weekly prize but remain eligible for the monthly prize (November) if you select the remaining 13 games prior to the Sunday @ 1 PM deadline. Of course, if you don’t make selections, you get the worst record from the home, visitor, favorite or underdog and are NOT eligible for the monthly prize.
4) Congrats to the remaining 2 Guppies alive in KOTH II-Stallion GJ (G. Trani) & The Scooter (R. Fingold). They have decided to split the KOTH II pool (2,030). KOTH III begins in Week 12 (203 Guppies entered).
5) If there is a tie for worst record in a week between the home, visitor, favorite & underdog, the home/visitor record is used before the favorite/underdog record as your result and the visitor record if all records are 8-8. This is only important for the KOTH contests because you receive your Monday selection if no Best Bet is selected.
6) There will be Thursday games thru Week 16. These games must be selected prior to approximately 8:25 PM on Thursday (There are special rules for Thanksgiving week-Week 13). Office Pool requires that in order for the Thursday game to count as a valid selection, you must select the remaining games on the schedule and total points prior to the Thursday approximately 12:30 PM deadline (Thanksgiving Week) and Thursday approximately 8:25 PM (Weeks 14-16). 2) Please do not select half points when selecting total points for the tiebreaker even though Office Pool allows it. The tiebreaker is to guess the total points scored in the Monday game. There has never been a half point scored in the history of the NFL. If you do not listen and continue to do this, we will use the whole number selected with no rounding (Ex: You select 39.5 points, your selection is 39 points).

KOTH III begins in Week 12. If you are still alive in KOTH II after Week 11, you can either select the same team as a Best Bet for both KOTH II & KOTH III or designate one team for KOTH II and another team for KOTH III. If you only select one team as a Best Bet and you are still alive in KOTH II, you receive that team for both contests. If you don’t select a Best Bet and are still alive in KOTH II, you receive your Monday selection in both contests.
